Pagli, et al. (2014), for the purposes of investigating regional velocity fields, has looked at Envisat InSAR data covering this volcano. They report no deformation at this collection of basaltic cinder cones.

The Assab Volcanic Field, an E-W trending alignment of basaltic cinder cones (yellow), can be seen cutting across this image, and continue to the coast in the west.
