Volcano number:373010
Region:Iceland and Arctic Ocean
Geodetic measurements?Yes
Deformation observation?Yes
Measurement method(s):GPS - campaign
Duration of observation: Before 1998, 2004
Inferred cause of deformation:Magmatic
Characteristics of deformation:

GPS measurements showed ~2cm uplift before the 1998 eruption and subsidence after and then again uplift in September 2004. The volcano increased in it’s seismic activity  after 2003. The last eruption occurred after a swarm on November 1st 2003. (Sturkell et al., 2006)
